Commission Info

What you will be getting

The finished portrait will be approx. 8”x10”. It is mounted on acid free mounting card with a white mat. Ready for you to frame at home into your own 11”x14” frame.

Cost is single subject from $250. The average time that it takes to complete your portrait is 10 hours.

Deposit
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your commission. The balance is to be paid when the commission is complete and prior to delivery.

Delivery

Prices do not include postage.

I am happy to deliver/meet up with local customers.

Materials

For animal portraits I work in oil and wax based coloured pencil on Drafting Film. This is an acid free and archival surface that allows me to achieve great detail.

 Photographs

As animal portraits are created from photographs it is important to provide the best possible photographs to work from. When choosing or taking a photograph please consider the following:

 The better the image, the better your commission will be.

A detailed, high-resolution image is essential for me to work from.

I need to be able to clearly see the features such as the eyes, direction of hair growth, and true colours.

The photograph you have provided shows the character and personality of your pet.

 I reserve the right to turn down any commissions where the photo is not clear enough to produce a quality drawing for you.
